WOODMARSH UPGRADE WORKS – APPROXIMATE TIMELINES AND LIST OF WORKS!

We can now confirm the list of work planned to take place over the off season, along with approximate timelines, as we upgrade Woodmarsh to comply with Step 6 ground grading.

We will require volunteers to help with some of these works and encourage everyone to come together to help out with tasks – please get in touch if you are interested in helping out!

MAY:

4th-10th Removal of pitchside barriers and dugouts.

12th-26th Ecosolve undertaking drainage work (to be complete by end of May, subject to planning permission approval), channels being dug for floodlight cabling, floodlight base holes being excavated.

Perimeter pathway excavated, two long sides of pitch, or complete perimeter if we can obtain more funding.

JUNE:

2nd-9th: Concrete and steelwork being put into floodlight base holes – this needs to be left for a month to set. Pitch left to settle, maintenance work on drainage channels once seeding complete.

During June, we also plan to construct at least 2 new concrete paths, and new dugouts. Dressing rooms brought up to Step 6 requirements (4th shower in away team, conversion of Ladies toilet to female changing room.

JULY:

Dates TBC – Installation of new pitchside barriers (we will need volunteers to help with this!)

Floodlights erected by Sports Lighting.

New drainage sump connected to Boundary Walk culvert.

New toilet block/hospitality room installed next to current bar.

Completion of insertion of 50 seats into Boundary Walk side stand (available to sponsor!)

Fence constructed from the lane to the cafe, securing the ground for admission with installation of new pay box/turnstile.

This is an incredibly exciting time for everybody involved, with this project being the biggest football development in the County Town in over three decades, in both terms of both hours and funds.

If anybody is interested in helping us with any of the various works that need doing (outside of the drainage and floodlights), we would be grateful for any and all support!

Let’s come together and build our future – after all, it’s been some 26 years in the making.
