Trowbridge Town would like to put on record our thanks to “Sammy” Jake Samuel, who is leaving us temporarily to go travelling for the next 3 months.

Jake has made a positive impact to the squad since joining at the end of last season from Westbury United Reserves, contributing with several assists and a goal in the Cup against Wroughton two weeks ago.

Jake has been a professional, friendly and positive face around the dressing room, and has helped to improve morale when the chips have been against us at times this season.

Jake added: “I’d like to thank the supporters for welcoming me to the club and for their continued unwavering support of all the lads.

I’d also ask them to stick by the lads and trust in the process that Baggsy and the staff are implementing. I’ll be returning at the end of January, a little wiser and hoping to help the lads push on in the league and cups!”

The club has identified several targets to fill the gap left in the meantime, and we will continue to pursue those interests closely.
