Tomorrow (Saturday) we entertain Kingsdown Lions of Swindon, recently promoted from the Wilts League Division 1 to the Premier, for our first ever competitive meeting – this will take place in the Fountain Trophies KO Cup (Wilts League Cup).
Kingsdown have had a good start to the season, sitting in 6th place on 17 points after 10 games with 5 wins, 2 draws and 3 defeats. The Bees’ head into this fixture on a 5 game unbeaten away run, but will be looking to regain their feet at home, having lost their last 2 home games after a 2 year unbeaten home run.
The Fountain Trophies KO Cup was our best cup competition last season, with Ryan Baggs’ guiding us to the semi-final, where we bowed out eventually to Larkhall Athletic Development. Several of the Larkhall players that played in that match have gone on to play at Steps 4 and 5 this season, which shows the competition can be a serious proving ground for players that are hungry to succeed.
Our match sponsor for this game is Focus With Beth Brewer. Focus is a local independent personal training studio. 1-2-1 training sessions include exclusivity of the entire private gym for a personal experience.
Focus is well equipped with everything you need to reach your strength and fitness goals with workouts tailored to you. The gym offers daily classes in a fun and friendly environment, encouraging all levels of fitness and ability.
And on top of what Focus can offer, Beth is a great supporter of the club, a local person with a local business (something we value highly here) and somebody that we enjoy having around – she also sponsors Town’s number 8, Steve Fox, alongside Barber Shack and Empyrean Investments.
We hope you will join us for this fixture – usual admission prices apply, and kick off is at 3pm.
