Following heavy rainfall over the past week, we can confirm that the pitch at Woodmarsh is saturated, and will not recover in time for Saturday’s game against Shrivenham, with the site currently flooded. This is set to worsen further with heavy rain due for the rest of this week.
Following discussions with the league and our opponents, we have changed venues for Saturday to a grass pitch at:
Odd Down Sports Ground,
Chelwood Drive,
Bath
BA2 2PR
(Please note this is NOT Odd Down AFC and the game is subject to weather)
There is free parking at the ground on a first come, first served basis. Chelwood Drive is for residents only, so please only park at the ground. Please remember that a Clean Air Zone operates in parts of Bath.
Kick off will also now be at the earlier time of 13.45.
We would like to thank both Shrivenham FC and the League for their understanding and co-operation.
Admission will be FREE, however we will be going around with a collection bucket to help to cover the costs associated with the change of venue and loss of matchday income.
We fully understand the inconvenience this may cause to some of our supporters, however it is imperative that we get football played – we have a large fixture backlog to fulfill, and we want to get the game on for both our supporters and for the players.
We are also not the only team who will be forced to cancel or move venues this weekend either across the region.
We thank you for your understanding and look forward to seeing you for the game!
