Following a few changes over the winter, the club would like to confirm the status of several players departures, as well as a couple of arrivals.
Firstly, a massive thank you and farewell to Dom Kilbane, who has left the club (and England!) to travel in Australia until 2025. Dom has been a model professional on and off the pitch, and we will miss him.
We have also said goodbye to Leigh Rogers, who has moved on to play Hellenic League football for Devizes Town. Again, a massive thank you to Leigh for all of his hard work in the black and yellow shirt.
Adam Mitchell also departs to move back to Park United, in the search for more game time and a return to form; we wish him the best for the rest of the season. Speaking of Park United, Kierran Ramsey has made the decision to move on, having initially gone out on a dual-reg to Greyhound FC. Kierran now links up with the Wiltshire Senior League Division 1 side, and we thank him for all of his efforts over the past year.
Callum Hotine has also made the decision to move back to Warminster Town, and we wish him all the best going forward. I have no doubt we will see Callum in green again in the future.
On to more positive news, and we welcome back Josh Howe today from Bradford Town, initially on a short term deal with a view to potentially the rest of the season. Josh needs no introduction, and partnering with Josh Howlett at the back is sure to tighten up our defence.
We have also signed a goalkeeper to replace Callum, but we will not be announcing him until he is fit and we are ready to announce him. Just trust us – if you love Trowbridge Town, you’ll love this signing.
In the meantime, we look forward to seeing Dan Blackwell between the sticks and hope you will give him your full backing over the next few weeks.
We have also welcomed back James Rustell, who has been out injured and working. James is going to be key if we are to fire our way back up the table, and I am personally looking forward to seeing him partner up with Simon Millard. Bags of experience and goals are the two key attributes to both players.
James scored 7 goals in a behind closed doors friendly last week against a fellow Wilts League side.
