Trowbridge Town FC are the main football team in the County Town of Trowbridge, Wiltshire. With a large youth section playing across the Mid and North Wilts youth leagues, and two adult teams plying their trade in Local and County football, we have ambitious plans for the future.

With that in mind, we are always on the look out for volunteers to help keep the club running on matchdays. We have the following opportunities available at the moment – full training is provided:

Matchday:

Gate Operations – taking card payments on the gate at 1st team home games, usually 2 (occasionally 3-4) games a month, between August and April. These matches usually take place on Saturday’s, with occasional Tuesday evenings in August and April. This role is shared with our regular Gate Operator, Pete, who takes cash payments. Hours between 2 and 3pm.

Bar Operations – Taking payment (Cash & Card), ensuring patrons present valid ID in line with Challenge 25, and distributing drinks to paying customers at the bar – Tins/Bottles only. Saturday home match day’s between 2.15 and 4pm.

Social Media (X/Twitter) Match Updates:

We have an excellent voluntary opportunity for somebody wanting to get their foot in the door of football and social media, assisting our Head of Social, Website and Content with in game updates to 2000+ followers. An understanding of X, and common sense, are essential. Experience is not.

This role would ideally be covered as home and away games, or just home games if you are unable to travel. Professional Match graphics courtesy of Evoleze, training and guidelines all provided – you just need to tell the story of the game, accurately and fairly, utilising our graphics where necessary, to ensure sponsors’ needs are satisfied and supporters that cannot make the game can follow the game.

Your assistance would be required from around 30 minutes before kick off when the team line up is posted, to the full time whistle, whereby the Head of Social, Website and Content takes over the match report and all other posts throughout the week.

All volunteers receive free entry into home games, as well as a complimentary hot or cold drink. We are currently reviewing our matchday offerings for supporters, and additional volunteer’ benefits are likely to be up for discussion.

We are a step 7 club with ambitious plans to progress, and as such, work to a very, very limited budget – matchday takings are an essential part of that budget. All of our players, management, youth coaches, commitee members and match day helpers are volunteers.
