In March we updated you on the status of our planning application for floodlights, the message was to let you know the window for review had been extended from March through to early May.
Since that statement on March 7th, we haven’t been standing still, working closely with members of Trowbridge Town Council, Wiltshire Council, Sports Lighting UK and club volunteers to ensure we have done everything in order to make sure that our proposed floodlit facility will not be harmful to wildlife that can be found in the area of Woodmarsh.
Following a meeting earlier this week between Wiltshire Council and the club, we are excited to say that the process has now moved onto the next phase, and that our proposal will now be reviewed by the government body Natural England.
They will review and hopefully sign off our proposal, and then we’ll be in a position to know if our planning application has been approved or not. We’re expecting to get a decision by the end of the current season.
We’ve got no doubt you will have questions but can we ask that you hold onto those for now because we currently know no more than what we’ve shared with you. This is an exciting time for the club and we thank you all for your continued patience.
