After six months of discussions and planning revisions, Trowbridge Town FC are pleased to announce that we have this evening submitted to Wiltshire Council an important planning application to secure the future of the club for generations to come.We have submitted an application for 8 LED floodlight pylons and expanded dugouts to meet FA Step 5 guidelines.
These plans are imperative to our commitment to progress our football club across youth, into adults, all the way into our veteran’s team.
Trowbridge Town chairman Andy Meaden added:”We hope that after months of work to get within the guidelines laid down by WCC Planning Dept working within the guidelines of the Trowbridge Bat Mitigation Strategy that we will soon (subject to acceptance and approval) be able to bring everyone the good news that we can commence with the works laid down in the plans, whilst at the same time ensuring that the impact to local wildlife will be at the absolute minimum.”
The town of Trowbridge has not had a grass floodlit football pitch since the old Frome Road site in 1997, and the club feels it will never have a better chance as a club to provide this facility. Trowbridge is the ONLY County Town in England that does not have such a facility.
