Trowbridge Town Chairman Andy Meaden would like to an issue an update to supporters, following the news last month that we have submitted a planning application to include Floodlights at Woodmarsh, home of TTFC.
“As you may be aware on December 4th we submitted a planning application to Wiltshire Council for Floodlights to be installed at our Woodmarsh ground.
We were asked to make a couple of changes to the site plan, and these were undertaken last week and re-submitted to the council planning department. We are hopeful now that the application will appear on Wiltshire Councils online planning portal within the next 7 days and when we have the portal ID reference we will publish it so that everyone can follow its progress online.
We are led to believe that a decision should be forthcoming from Wiltshire Council within 6-8 weeks from the day the application goes live, a decision which we hope will allow us to start making progress up the non league pyramid, and provide a much need facility for the youth players at our club in their progression to Adult Football through playing in the Wiltshire U18s Youth Floodlight League.
In the meantime, I would encourage you to continue coming down and supporting the 1st team and Tigers both home and away, but especially the 1sts at home. We have not played a league home game since September due to various weather-related postponements, and have quite a backlog, which means we have missed out on a lot of matchday income.
The club would really appreciate your support as we look to start 2024 with a bang.”
Our next match is scheduled for this Saturday, a 2.15pm KO at Woodmarsh vs Salisbury Football Club Development.
